My name is Joe, and I’ve been a professional tattooist since 2000, following a traditional apprenticeship that grounded me in the fundamentals of the craft. Originally from Bolton, I now live and work in Warrington, where I established Black Bones Custom Tattoos in 2014.
Before opening my own studio, I had the privilege of working in some of the best tattoo studios across the Northwest. These years of experience helped shape both my technical skills and artistic approach.
I specialise in colour realism and large-scale custom lettering, but I’m passionate about all styles of tattooing. Whether it's a bold traditional piece, fine-line black and grey, or something entirely custom, I take pride in delivering high-quality, thoughtful work tailored to each individual client.

Hello, I’m Mols – Tattooist since 2016
Since starting in the tattoo industry in 2016 I've had the pleasure of learning a variety of styles and techniques. Before entering the industry, my perception of tattoo shops was that you could walk in and get any design you wanted. Therefore, I've made sure I can confidently carry out all styles that walk through the door.
That being said, Japanese Irezumi holds a special place in my heart. I love blending traditional Japanese elements with pop culture references, creating pieces that are both timeless and uniquely personal.
I also offer laser tattoo removal and body piercings, providing a full spectrum of services to meet your needs.
I'm known for being approachable and down-to-earth. I believe in making every client feel comfortable and heard, ensuring that your tattoo experience is as meaningful as the art itself.
